How we became friends

Hello and welcome! This is Benny, hope everyone’s feeling relaxed and happy. This week I will be sharing with you guys a more detailed introduction about us and how we became friends. Lets go all the way back to 2013. We were both 5 and in primary school year 1. We were in different classes but knew each other because I was friends with some of Maya’s friends. It was like this all the way to year 5, only passing by each other in the hallways. Then, one of my friends signed up for Netball, and Maya was in it too, since we had more friends that are in the same circle, we started hanging out more during lunch times. We used to play chess, talk, play tag and most importantly, trade snacks. It was the highlight of everyone’s day. In year 6, my friends convinced me to start playing Netball, I did and eventually we all made it to the school’s Netball team (YAY!). Because of this, we also started playing Netball during lunch times as practice. We would used to take up like half of the roof playground just for this, and we took it very seriously, like VERY SERIOUSLY. We used to have referees called umpire(em-py-er) and we would have a whistle that the entire school can hear. If anyone made a single teeny weeny mistake, we would blow on it and the opponent gets the ball. The game were very intense. During break, we would share snacks. My friend, lets call her Amy, always had a bowl of SpIcY kOrEaN NoOoOdLeS, and everyone(including Maya) just crowded around her begging for some. I also made up this thing, where you just eat straight up jell-o powder, like, right out of the Box. Fast forward a couple of months. Its finally the time of year where we go and visit our new school! Yup, there were people who went to the same nursery, kindergarten, primary school and now middle/high school. The entire grade went, and let me tell you this…..I WAS A FREAKING ANT! LIKE EVERYTHING WAS HUMONGOUS. GIANT STAIRS, GIANT TREES, GIANT BENCHES, GIANT FIELD. I have never NEVER felt so tiny in my life before. Also the school was like 200 years old, SO HOW, HOW WAS EVERYTHING STILL SO NEW AND YET THEY HARDLY REPLACED ANYTHING!..............Sorry for ranting……. : ) AnYwAyS.. We got to take a tour of the school, meet our tutor/homeroom teachers and me and Maya were in the same class yassssss. We also had the same class for literally everything except chinese (She’s way better). Now it’s the end of the year, we had our graduation party and assembly, so it’s time to say goodbye to the good old times. It’s da first day of Middle School, I felt so powerful and was very mature. We sat down getting ready for the assembly, and I saw Maya and all my old friends. Now, go back to the end of the sentence before the last…..remember I said I was mature? Yeah….This was where it all went away. We started talking so loud, we were running around the hall and gossiping about this “Couple”. Yeah it was rude, but I was 11! We were still very much children (Says me only 2 years later). Time quickly goes by, and then it was February 2020, when Hong Kong started lockdown. I was bored at home so I found a few pieces of keychains that had nothing on it, so I made a tiny macrame keychain and a tassel keychain. Later on I asked if anyone wanted to buy it, and that’s where I got the idea. But of course I didn’t actually start because I was more focused on other things. After I moved to Singapore, I decided to give this business Idea another try and I successfully sold a keychain to one of my friends here. I then made all my social media platforms, got everything set up and started trying to sell some things. Maya later asked if it was me who requested her on instagram and then I asked her to help, and now she is the co-owner of Camelliacreationsco. YAYYYYYY!!!! After a while we were able to reach 150 Followers on Insta within 2 months which to me is a success! We are a very slow growing but happy business. Now we started this blog to hopefully gain some customers and for people to get inspired and to understand us more than just small biz owners. That is it for this week’s post, it was very long. Please follow us on Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest and Youtube. Also Check our shop on etsy(Link On Website) and enjoy your day! -Benny
